What is lifestyle photography?

If you are used to seeing portrait photography, you may be wondering how lifestyle photography is different. In essence, for me it means capturing your everyday life. What are those moments you want to remember forever? Those little pieces of your life that when they are gone, you would wish you could see them just once more? My kids aren’t so little anymore, and I would give anything to go back to catch all those little details. I don’t have a time machine for myself, but I can help you preserve the memories of your family’s life as it is at this moment.

Lifestyle shoots often take place in the client’s home to capture the place where you make memories every day. Your family can decide what favorite activities you want to include. I use natural light as much as possible and try to catch authentic moments in your life. If you wish, the shoot can also include an outdoor location, if that is something you would like to capture with your family. I can include your pets, sports or dance activities – or we can document a special occasion or event.

My photographs will come together to tell your family’s story – where you are right now. I like to shoot faces and can accommodate some semi-posed shots if you wish.
